BANDWARZ, Durham Region’s biggest and most prestigious music competition of its kind accepted artist applications for performance slots for the yearly competition. Only 40 bands were accepted for this year’s event. BANDWARZ 2005 was Durham’s leading new music showcase event which receives province-wide recognition through exclusive television coverage on Rogers Television.

The winners of the competition received $1,000 CASH, a complete recording package and thousands of dollars in prizes from event sponsors including Alcatraz Skate and Snow, Le Skratch
